George first came to Far Hills after having some time off to grow and develop from being a young horse. George quickly made himself at home on the hill and found a spot in our hearts for his sweet demeanor and his big heart. After a year of training, and boosting his confidence it came with no suprise that when we held a clininc one of the participants fell in love with George. Since George went to his new home they have done so many different things - a horsemanship clinic with cattle, a jumping clinic at FHF - he does it all without batting an eyelash. They have been working hard to develop him as a dressage horse, they went down centerline together for the first time at a rated show this fall. They are doing lots of lessons with their trainer over the winter and they plan to show next summer at Training level. We are excited to see what the summer holds for this team!

Olaf came to us because his owner had tried everything, but this 7 year-old Argentine jumping bean had decided not to leave the ground anymore. He is incredibly athletic and a very sweet, but nervous personality.  We did not find anything problematic with him from a traditional veterinary medicine perspective, but we did find some things we could fix with some of our alternative approaches.  Interestingly, after we corrected some of his top-line alignment, he started to happily jump around low jumps. Olaf is now leased out to a junior rider for the year doing the 2’9” eq and .85m jumpers. He’s very loved. They are becoming quite the team and manage to keep him sparkling white, that’s no easy feat. He comes back and visits for clinics and we’re overjoyed with his new family.
