Olaf came to us because his owner had tried everything, but this 7 year-old Argentine jumping bean had decided not to leave the ground anymore. They are a very good program and we have worked with others from them. What is so wonderful about his owner is that she knows when something isn’t going to work and looks for a better option for her horse. We love it when we are that option! He is incredibly athletic and a very sweet, but nervous personality. We did not find anything problematic with him from a traditional veterinary medicine perspective, but we did find some things we could fix with some of our alternative approaches. Interestingly, after we corrected some of his top-line alignment, he was happily jumping around low jumps and even jumped out of our indoor arena when we used it for turn out on a rainy/muddy day! Unfortunately, just as we were thinking of taking him to his first show, he popped a sequestrum and it had to be removed. The procedure went very well and he is being a very good boy for his rehab. Only a couple more weeks and he’ll be back to full work.
