Mango

Mango is an exciting new addition to the Far Hills family.  A group of us “hilltoppers” wanted to find a horse for Shana that could be a prospect for her to develop.  Like many things, sometimes you can look and look, but when it happens organically or accidentally, it is for the best.  In this case, that’s exactly what happened.  We’d been talking and casually looking when we bumped into trainers Charlie and Hilary Carrel who were unexpectedly at a show in our area.  We know them because they have been loyal supporters of the International Omaha and we’ve used their book, Starting the Young Jumper when working with some of the troubled horses we take on.  As we chatted, they had a couple of horses that we thought Shana should try.  Mango was not on the list, but after riding some of the horses, they offered her as an option.  She and Shana just clicked and we are very excited to see how they progress.  While she is a 7 year-old, she got a bit over faced early in her career, so we are going to take it very slowly so she and Shana can develop a good connection.  More to come for these two!
